This is a gentle book on a harsh topic, holistically treated: how to cleanse your home of indoor air pollution, hidden harsh chemicals, harmful negative energy and other toxics. If this sounds like a tall order, Hartie outlines how to make it happen combining elements of Feng Shui, the Law of Attraction, earth-based spirituality, including the Four Elements practice, and other philosophies/techniques. In creating the Harmonious Adjustments system, this award-winning new book sets out a path to deal with all the interconnected issues that stretch from our homes right across our planet. As the author puts it, "So many problems, so many paths for improvement!" It can feel utterly overwhelming until you start to see the ways all these issues are interconnected, and realize that there are ways to address all of them at once, holistically. The path to environmental harmony cover areas such as organization, uncluttering and cleaning your home, naturally with Green methods. Especially informative, practical and useful is the section on eco-friendly lifestyle which includes easy methods and products for personal care, household cleaning, cooking and eating (complete with some of the author's favourite recipes, for both meat lovers and vegetarians). I've flagged several and can't wait to try them. The author also delves into areas such as Green lighting and interior decorating, sleep enhancement, and even tips for improving your career, organizational skills and love life. Unusual and eclectic it is, but also so "clearly written, cleanly organized and enthusiastically presented," according to Fearless Reviews it's a thumbs up addition to anyone's home improvement library. While dragging the dark side of our environmental bad habits and monolithic eco busters into the light, Hartie manages to avoid negativity. Instead she guides us to the realization of the work that lies ahead and how to achieve it with natural ease and positivism.
