This
home suffered from a poor layout. The front door, pictured right,
opened to a small, dark entryway . To the right was the master bedroom; to
the left, a hallway, pictured below, that led to the sunroom. The
office, pictured below, was a small, dark room.
Walking into the home did not feel good. First-time visitors felt confused, as they had to walk down a long, dark corridor to enter the main section of the home. Additionally, the energy was stuck, because it could not flow correctly. The solutions were as follows: the entry door was removed and a skylight was added; the air conditioner and window in office were removed and replaced with a glass and wood front door; and two walls in office were removed.
The results were astounding! The door leading to the old entryway became the private area of home and the entry way became a meditation room outside the master bedroom. The glass front door had a profound affect in the home. The old sunroom was very long and narrow and the new, open floor plan created a welcome entrance to the home as well as a very comfortable living space. The glass and wood doors and the wall of windows in the sunroom bring the outdoors in, with plenty of natural sunlight.
